Stay in the Now (A Poem)
Fate's Say
Cocooning into myself, Metamorphosing into a hollow shell, Denying signs of life and health, There is no reason for which to dwell, What is done is done, I am not my past,
And this is no way to have won,
Over time this shadow has cast,
A blankness over my future,
Outside: A pureness over my present state,
Inside: engaged in some other type of war,
This second may have been a moment too late,
And the moment before a second too early,
I place one foot into the water,
And let the other lie free,
I play the hero while I feel the martyr,
Easily molded into someone else’s clay,
The sun will rise to harden the figure,
And turn it into a fate’s say,
And hopefully by then I can stop this game of ignore…
