Numbness (A Poem)
Filling In The Numbness
I just want to slice it open,
And see what drains out,
Any remaining humility or humanity,
Any way to reconfigure hope & self-control,
Into the picture that's fallen from its captive glass frame,
Which has sliced open the main parts,
What pattern might it make,
As colors separate and intertwine,
Perhaps out of malice or disdain,
For the picture or for itself,
Something we will never get a chance to know,
Defining is only by our past actions,
Well- perceptions of those actions,
Filling in the numbness that the scatter allowed...
